David in his Psalms - Psalm 60 (B)

Read: Psalm 60: 6-12; 2 Samuel 8: 13-14; Romans 8: 31; 2 Corinthians 2: 14

Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
Psalm 60: 10

We have stayed at Michungwa town in Tanga for eight days, and my car has still trouble our hearts. My christian friend, sister Hope's pressure is very high. I am singing, praising the Lord, shouting, praying, talking and crying to low down my pressure the hightest to be normal. We are not crazy, but we carry too much! From third day, I have asked Jesus who carries my burden for car's trouble. I have got much joy in my heart since I was crying out to the Lord and bowed my knees for help that day. After I can deal with pressures. May God remember to heal my car and I have depent on Him. Hallelujah!

When we study Psalm 60; David illumined the dangerous Edomitic campaign, one period time, he thought that God has forsaken him and his armies, God is no longer to go with them. Finally he turned to trust God, only hope in the Lord. He knew that as long as he was with God who will help them to get the victory among Edomitic campaign. Praise the Lord for David who has trusted in God and Hope in Him.

Today, we will finish Psalm 60: 6-12 for rest of principles as below:

(5) God's triumph is over Moab, Edom and
      Philistia. (V 6-8)

"God has spoken from his sanctuary; 'In triumph I will parcel out Shechem, and measure off the Valley of Succoth. Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.'"

God triumphes all David and his armies enemies as Moab, Edom and Philistia. David shouted in triumph for God who has done and he protected Gilead, Manasseh, Ephraim and Judah. They are God's people. Judah my scepter, Jesus was born in the tribe of Judah, my scepter is meant as a kingship and power comes from. God himself proclaimed that all Judah, Israel where or who were his (God himself, I am who I am as Yaweh.)

(6) Has God rejected them. (V 9-11)

"Who will brin me to the fortified city? who will lead me to Edom? Is it not you, O god, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless." David was very hopeless, he realized that only God could help him and his armies to against their enemy, the help of man is worthless, but God is real and true God who is able to deliver us for our bad situation to turning point for Good one. If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8: 31)

(7) With God, David's armies will gain the victory.
       (V12)

"With God, we will gain the victory, and he will trample down  our enemies." David gained his faith back and he believed that he and his armies were with God, they would gain the victory and He will trample down their enemies until all destruction.

When we read 2 Samuel 8: 13-14 again and said, "And David became famous after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt. He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became sbject to David. The Lord gave David Victory wherever he went." It explained enough. It accorded as Psalm 60: 12 said.

As 2 Corinthians 2: 14 said, "But hanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him."

See you tomorrow and May God bless you, your family and your work! Thank you and welcome again!

Victory is belong to God who helps us and we enable to overcome all by his power, his mighty, his spirit. As Revelation 12: 11 said, "They (We) overcame him (Devil or Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimoney." Praise the Lord for help!
