David in his Psalms - Psalm 18 (E)

Read: Psalm 18: 37- 45; Romans 8: 37

You (God) made my (David's) enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes.
Psalm 18: 40

My friend Tumaini (Hope) and I have stayed at Michungwani town in Tanga for three days. We have slept inside our car. Today I thought that we would go to Mochi, when the mechanic started my car, the oil spread out from my engine. It cost me a lot of money for Toyota car equipment parts. I think that I have never ever forgotten Michungwani as same as my friend Tumaini. May God heal my car and rescue us from this trouble. Thank you and Praise to the Lord for this situation.

Today we will look into Psalm 18: 37-45 for those principles as below:

(12) God strengthened David to win the battle (V
         37-40)

"I (David) pursued my enemies and overtook them, I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet. You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes."

David depent God's strength to overcome all barriers and destroyed his enemies, then God made his adversaries bow at his feet and David destroyed his foes. Thank you to the Lord for David, we also have victory over our trouble and problem. We are worried about troubles, we instead to trust God and believe in him who will give us strength. After that God enables us to solve our troubles. Praise the Lord

(13) David's foes has run for help and there are no
         way . (V 41-42)

"They cried for help, but there was no one is save them- to the Lord, but he did not answer. I beat them as fine as dust borne on the wind I poured them out like mud in the streets." David's enemies cried for help, but there was no one is able to save the, they called out to God who did not answer. They were like dust borne, the wind came and their dusts were like mud in the streets. God had done a great thing for David who won all victory. As Romans 8: 32 said, "... in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Therefore, we are more than conquerors.

(14) God made David as a head of nations. (V 43-45)

"You (God) have delivered me (David) from the attacks of the people; you have made me the head of nations; people I did not know are subject to me. As soon as they hear me, they obey me; foreigners cringe before me. They all lost heart; they come trembling from their strongholds."

God delivered David from the attacks of the people, he made him the head of nations; those people did not know him, they would subject to him; as soon as they heard him and they obeyed him; they asked forgiveness and cringe before him. They were scared David and lost their hearts; they came trembling from their strongholds where could not save and deliver them from the hands of David.

I found my spot and starting to type the words, my friend asked me to cut off my computer, I was not happy at all, I had wisdom and moved the table, then I could still do my type for devotion. Here does not have the good Internet condition.

Focus on God who will deliver us in His time!
