David in his Psalms - Psalm 30 (A)





Read: Psalm 30: 1-7; 2 Samuel 24: 25; Psalm 103: 8. 13;
Lamentations 3: 22-25

For his (God's) anger lasts only moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30: 5


      Yesterday we went to garage, we were looking for engine, brother Steve found one. I also paid my water and electricity bills. And I went to bank for taking money for buying engine. In fact today the garage boss Karim and I will go to look for engine. His mechanic will try to put in and I hope that my car will function again! Thank you to my Lord, Jesus!

          When we read 2 Samuel 24: 25 said, "David built an altar to the Lord and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings (peace offerings). Then the Lord answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped." Because David asked Joab to count the fighting men, verse 10 said, "David was conscience-stricken after he had counted the fighting men, and he said to the Lord, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, O Lord, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing."" God wanted David to choose three plagues to be one, there were three years of famine in your land? three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? or three days of plague in your field? (V 13), then David said to God, "I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great, but do not let me fall into the hands of men." (V14)

        Then David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the Lord, "I am the one who has sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall upon me and my family. (V 17)" After David built an altar for peace offerings. Then the plague on Israel was stopped. So that David wrote Psalm 30 for this history.

        we will look into Psalm 30: 1-5 principles as below:

(1)  David exalted God. (V 1)

      "I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths and did not let my enemies gloat over me." David would rather fall into the hand of God, not hands of men. (2 Samuel 24: 14) He exalted God and God lifted him out of the problem. And he asked God not let his enemies gloat over him. God listened to his require.

(2)   God healed David. (V 2-3)

        "O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. O Lord, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit." David called to God for help, he healed him. and God brought him up from the grave and he spared his life going down into the pit. God enable to save and answer our problems. We need to trust in him. And no matter what God will answer you and heal you in his time. Then I believe the true God is called Jesus who will not let you going down or falling down without his permission.

(3)  Praise. (V 4)

       "Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name." David confessed his sins, then he chose to praise God and his holy name. We are living in trouble, but we sing to the Lord and praise Him for who He is.

(4)  God's favor lasts a lifetime. (V 5)
 
       "For his anger lasts only a moment. but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." David understood God well, for God's anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; his weeping might remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Hallelujah! God has unfailing and abundant love. In Psalm 103: 8 said, "The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." Then verse 13 said, "As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him." David was fear God who gave him joy and favor of God.

         We need to know God who gives favor to those who fear him, so that God give us favor lasts our lifetime; our weeping prayer may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. As Jeremiah wrote in book of Lamentations 3: 22-25 said, "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."


       They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness!

David in his Psalms - Psalm 63 (A)




Read: Psalm 63: 1-5; 2 Samuel 16:2; Psalm 42:1;
John 7: 37-38; Psalm 27: 4; Ecclesiastes 5: 7

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
Psalm 63: 3-4


          Yesterday it is public holiday. The banks were close. My car engine came, but I had no money to pay it. Today will be better to pay my bills in Africa. And I also need to go to electricity and water offices to take the bills. I have not yet received, otherwise they cut my water without reason, even you don't get your bills, there will cause problem. God is good, and I got the experience for cutting water, the water man took my water measure off my house. After I had to pay another set up bill. I have learnt by my mistakes. Praise the Lord!

       The life is exacting and challenging every day. I am so grateful for Jesus who helps me daily, so that I can get victory and because He is a excellent God. Today we will look into Psalm 63 which illumines the king's eastward flight, his history was written 2 Samuel 16:2, and said, "The king (David) asked Ziba, "why have you brought these?" Ziba answered, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride on, the bread and fruit are for the men to eat and the wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the desert.""  When David and his household in the desert of Judah. The Ziba brought David and his household - donkeys, bread, fruit and wine. God had sent Ziba was a good friend for David, God knew his situation. God sometimes uses other friends as angels for you, when you have the bad situation, there are no way out, but we will get a friend who reaches his arms to save us. May God bless our friends!

        Today, we will look into Psalm 63: 1-5 principles as below:

(1)  Seek God as David got thirsty in the desert. (V 1)

       "O God, you are my God earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you in a dry and weary land where there is no water." As Psalm 42: 1 said, "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God." David and his household were in the desert, there were no water, David's soul was thirsty and his body longed for God. If David thirsts for water, he can get water as his kingship, but his thirsty is God alone, He will refresh his body, soul and spirit.

         When we read New Testament, Jesus talks about living water, we will not thirsty again. In John 7: 37-38 said, "One the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, steams of living water will flow from within him."" God promises to give us living water, we will not thirst again.

(2)  David honored God in the sanctuary. (V 2)

       "I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory." David have seen God in the sanctuary and look God's power and his glory. As Psalm 27: 4 said, "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." (David's wish) David asked of the Lord, he might live in the house of the Lord all the days of his life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. How about us? Do we seek the Lord first or last? Do we really gaze God's beauty? May God give us his strength to seek the Kingdom of God first as Matthew 6:33 said.

(3)  Praise God. (V 3-5)

        "Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you." These verses are so beautiful. Reason to praise God, it is his love is better than life, David will praise God as long as he live, God's name will lift up his hands, his soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods, it means our souls satisfy as we eat the richest of foods.

       Many people in this world, they look for Money, good living and successful life. Where are our souls or spirits? You know that a lot of people commit suicide, they are richer than poor. When you look for materialism, the days will come, you discover that you have nothing, you can conquer in your life, then you feel so empty and meaningless. As king Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes and said, "This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind." Somon wrote everything is meaningless in Ecclesiastes as wisdom, pleasures, folly, toil, oppression, friendlessness, advancement, and rich, which are meaningless. He found out that awe of God is for everything. The answer is "Therefore stand in awe of God." (Ecclesiastes 5: 7)

       Tomorrow, we will go to finish Psalm 63. See you!


Praise Him who is everything for us and seek Him first!

David in his Psalms - Psalm 3 (B)



Read: Psalm 3: 5-8, 4: 8, 121: 1

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.
Psalm 3: 5


        Yesterday, the mechanic came and saw my car's engine which was false one. It will cost me 1,400 USD, but I put my HOPE in God. Sorry for not writing yesterday. There were no time to do it.

         Today, we will finish Psalm 3: 5-8 with a few principles as below:

(4)  Worry Not for sleeping. (V 5)

        "I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me." David trusted God so much, even his son Absalom's army attacked him and his household. But he did not worry and laid down and slept, then he wake again, the reason was knowing God who sustains him. He knew the help which is from God alone. In Psalm 121: 1 said, "I lift up my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."

        When we got worried or anxiety, we can not sleep. If we can trust God alone, we shall sleep well and wake up, then we knew that God is with us. In Psalm 4: 8 said, "I will lie down and sleep in peace for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." It is our prayer. May God bless our sleeping.

(5)  Fear Not, many armies against David. (V 6)

       "I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side." David did not fear with tens of thousands' army against him on every side. He knew that God will protect him and his household. Because he has had a intimate relationship with God.

       Many people have a lot of fear, fear of lost job, fear of children education, fear of money, fear of living details. They have forgotten God's power, and what he can do for us, for you and for our families. We praise Him what He has already done and He will finish all by his promises.

(6)  Deliver David. (V 7-8)

       "Arise, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people." David knew that God would arise and deliver him and strike all his enemies and his deliverance has come, may God bless on his people. Because David had confident in God.

       We need to trust God with all details. And God wants to listen our voices for prayer. He love us and he will give a best to us. Thank you for his promises. As Isaiah 55: 11 said, "So is my word (God's word) that Goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I (God) desire and achieve the purpose for which I send it."

David in his Psalms - Psalm 3 (A)




Read: Psalm 3: 1-4; 2 Samuel 15:16

But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. Psalm 3: 5


       Yesterday was Sunday, I thought it was Saturday. Then I went out to take my tenth money to God and took some for myself. And I arrived home and all children came to Sunday Service. I did not push them or called their names, but they came to sing, pray, read Saul who met God (Acts 9), act with Saul story and make origami for talking bird. They enjoyed so much. Later they came for English class, I got six students: Sally, Jacklin, Juliana, Seve, Joseph and Patrick. God is good for lighting my day with His grace.

       Today we look into Psalm 3 and we will know the history time; when David fled from his Son Absalom. You read 2 Samuel 15: 16 said, "The king (David) set out, with his entire household following him; but he left ten concubines to take care of the palace." David wrote Psalm 3, he was very horrible situation, he fled with his household, he left then concubines to take care of the palace. but his faith was strong, he had confidence in God. After we will know Psalm 3  principles and we practise them. There are the principles as below:

(1)  Many of David's foes rose up against him.
       (V 1-2)

       "O Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him."" David had faced too many his foes who were saying, "God will not deliver him." And he fled to his own son Absalom. There were no hope for David, in the numbers of his enemies, but there were HOPE for him who trusted in Him totally.

(2)  Confidence in God. (V 3)

        "But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me (David) and lift up my head." David knew that he could trust one who was his shield, O his God. He bestowed glory on David and lift up his head, it stood for no fear, but he had confident in God. His confidence in God which made David so strong, no one could knocked him down. We need to trust God and his doing, and we need to pray and instead complaining. When we put our confidence in God, there are HOPE for us. Praise the Lord for that HOPE!

(3)  God listened David's crying. (V 4)

        "To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill." When David cried aloud for prayer, God answered him from his holy hill. I remembered I wanted to look for renting house in Africa, I was sleepless, and I cried our to my Lord, Jesus. I had to move the end of that day. Then I wrote one SMS message to one owner, he answered to me at noon, then we went to a lawyer to make a contract, then I moved out that evening as I hoped. It was God, not me, nor that house owner.

        He is still doing a miracle today. Tomorrow, we will finish Psalm 3: 5-8. See you and I will be here to wait for you!


Put your confidence in God who will deliver you or answer you in His time. And you only need to trust Him.

David in his Psalms - Psalm 51 (C)

Read: Psalm 51: 13-19; 1 Samuel 15: 21-22;
Ezekiel 36: 26-27

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Psalm 51: 17

       Yesterday I traveled back to Morogoro from Arusha. Then my car went into the truck which went to Tanga, than Morogoro. All amazed and interested trip from Morogoro, Michungwani, Moshi, Arusha in Tanzania and Nairobi in Kenya. The whole trip was crying, laughing and a lot of miracles. And I lost friendship from one dearest friend, I was very sad that night, and I was silence with a crushed spirit and heart. After God gave me Jackie who was stayed same room with her. and her father helped me to stay with her daughter. Christina and Joel are his other children.

      I have spent more money to fix my car, deliver my car to Arusha, then it returns back to Morogoro. All my troubles have been made me stronger than before. So that I knew that I depend on Jesus who is my help come from. I am sorry that I did not enable to write last night. I hope that I will keep daily from today.

      We look into Psalm 51: 13-19 principles as below:

(10)  David would teach transgressors God's way.
          (V 13)

         "Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you." David had had experience for God's forgiveness, so that he can teach other sinners about God's ways, then the sinners will turn back to God. When we have seen many testimonies, the sinners so bad, but God saves them in time, then they turn back to God and give their testimonies that are very powerful. God has plan for all sinners, I am the one, but he has saved me, and you too.

(11)  Save David from blood quilt and sing of your
          righteousness. (V14)

         "Save me from blood quilt, O God, the God who saves me, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness." David knew that God would save him from blood quilt and forgave his sins. So that his tongue will sing of God's righteousness. I am so grateful and thankful my God, Jesus. He will forgive my sins, each time I call his Name, Jesus. He will be there for me, and he change my situation from time to time. It will be worse, but it turns out just good enough or perfect one. I thank for him who has done for me and others.

(12) David declared God's praise. (V 15)

        "O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise." David asked God to open his lips and his mouth will declare his praise. We shall praise Him for Good or worse, we praise him with words, prayer, songs and lifting our hands. We want to say, Jesus, we love you so much, please you receive our praises and blessings. Amen!

(13)  What does God delight sacrifices or a broken
          spirit. (V 16-17)

         "You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."  When king Saul disobeyed God, he explained and said, "The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the Lord you God at Gilgal." But Samuel replied; "Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams." (1 Samuel 15: 21-22)

       God delight our hearts, not our sacrifice, he pleases our obedience with our heeds. Our sacrifice is our hearts, even the broken ones. He will not despise, but he will give our new heart, take away the broken one. In Ezekiel 36: 26-27 said, "I (God) will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws." Then God to change our heart, he will cleans and we will have the clean heart with the new spirit. So that the crushed spirit and broken heart have gone in the Name of Jesus. Amen!

(14)  God's good pleasure make Zion prosper, there
          will be righteous sacrifices. (V 18-19)

          "In your good pleasure make Zion prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem. Then there will be righteous sacrifices, whole burnt offerings to delight you; then bulls will be offered on your altar." God's good pleasure makes us prosper, build us up, then there will be righteous sacrifice and whole burnt offerings to delight God, and it is one who follows God in wholeheartedly. We are the ones. Praise Him for all which he has done in our lives!


You heed after God who will make you new prosper beginning.

David in his Psalms - Psalm 51 (B)

My Car has been broken down



Read: Psalm 51: 7-12; Proverbs 17: 22; Psalm 103: 8

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence, or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me.
Psalm 51: 10-12


       Christian sister Tumaini and I had gone to Nairobi in Kenya for four days. My Internet was not working there. So I was absent for many days. I am sorry for all. I came back Arusha in Tanzania. Steve brother and host brother will look for a huge truck which can carry my broken car into it. I pray that it will be cheaper for me and God will make a way for me where seem no way. Because I trust in God completely.

      Today we will continue Psalm 51: 7-12 for more principles as below:

(4) Cleanse David who would be clean. (V 7)

       "Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow."  David knew that God would take away his quilt. Hyssop is religion sign, David knew that God will wash or clean him, his conscience will be whiter than snow. Then God will take his shame and quilt away by God's forgiveness. If God can forgive us, why we can not forgive ourselves, we are still living in the darkness.

(5) Restore David's joy. (V 8)

      "Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice." The sins had crushed David so badly, he lived in sorrow until God's forgiveness. Then he will rejoice again. In proverbs 17: 22 said, "A cheerful (merry) heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." The laughing is good medicine to heal you crushed heart, soul, body and your spirit.

(6) Forgiveness. (V 9)

      "hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity." David was looking for forgiveness from God. He hope that God will not turn his face away from him, but he blot out all his iniquity. So that he can be free. We can be free by God's forgiveness.

(7) Create in David a pure heart and renew his
       spirit. (V 10)

       "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." David knew his guilty heart, God will create a new and pure one, He will also renews his spirit which will support him steadfast. We don't need to live the quilt, but we ask God for forgiveness where are freedom for us. We are free from the bondage of sins.

(8) Restore Holy Spirit within David. (V 11)

      "Do not cast me from your presence, or take out Holy Spirit from me." David will stay at the presence of God, not because of his sins, God will cast out Holy Spirit within him, but God will restore David's spirit. God is the Lord who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. (Psalm 103: 8) We need to thank God for all our wrong doings.

(9) Restore joy and a willing spirit. (V 12)

     "Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me." David prayed to God for the joy of his salvation and God will grant him a willing spirit to sustain him. I pray to God every day, I ask God who will grant me a willing spirit, a lot of joy, grateful heart and loved heart towards others, then I want to have top and priority relationship with him, other things come after my God. Thank you for listening our prayer!

      Tomorrow we will finish Psalm 51, may God light up your merry day with gracious, mercy and grace as your potion for today. Amen!


All your Hope is in Jesus,
seek your solution in him alone!

David in his Psalms - Psalm 51 (A)




Read: Psalm 51: 1-6; 2 Samuel 8: 13-14

Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Psalm 51: 2


       Yesterday, I was traveling to Moshi, then Arusha, but my car was been fired from engine, then African people came for help me and a Christian sister Tumaini (Hope), the fire and heat of my car got into normal. Then Tumaini called her uncle for help us, so that we were waiting for him who rescued us from the high way in the beginning Moshi. God is good, he came to meet us after 3 hours. While we had six African men who stayed with us.

        After Tumaini uncle came and put a rope to between his car and my car, his friend pull my car by his car. We went all the way to Moshi, then Arusha. They pull my car to garage and we stayed at his home. Later he told me that that high way was the most of dangerous place, but God had sent six men as our angels who protected us as I prayed that morning. When we reached Arusha at night. I was not able to write Daily Word of God to you. Sorry for it!

      Today we will study Psalm 51 which was elaborated on David's guilt with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 12: 13-14). This is a psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba. When read 2 Samuel 8: 13-14 said, Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan replied, "The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. But because by doing this your have made the enemies of the Lord show utter contempt, the son born to you will die."

        There are many principles in Psalm 51 as blow:

(1)  God's unfailing love and mercy blot out David's
        transgressions. (V 1)

       "Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot our my transgressions."

        David believed God who has love and mercy, he was able to forgive him for all sins. So he knew God who would show his favor again and it was according his great compassion.

(2) David confessed his sins and God did enable to
       wash away all his iniquity. (V 2-5)

       "Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge. Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived."

       David confessed his sins, he knew God will be able to forgive him and washed away all his iniquity and cleanse him from his sins. Even though he had done evil in God's sight, God would be justified for him. God is always right and just. And David knew that his mother conceived him with sin at birth. Maybe his mother was less wife or small wife, before his mother was married his father, she was carried David. God had remembered David when he was born, a boy to overcome Goliath, a Saul's son-in-law, a remarked king for Judah and Israel until his death.

(3) God desires truth in David. (V 6)

      "Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place."

       God desires his children to be truth in everywhere, He teaches us his wisdom in the secrete place as in the inmost place where is between you and God, you can walk together, talk face to face. It is our devotional power which comes from Jesus, ONLY.
