David in his Psalms - Psalm 59 (B)

Read: Psalm 59

.... Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob. Psalm 59: 13

Today we will continue to explain Psalm 59 from verse 11 to 17; We will see David who was complaining to God and the end verses 15-17, he praised the Name of God who is David's fortress, his refuge in times of trouble. He has approved that God is good all time, Amen!

(8) Sovereign power to attack David's enemies. (V 11) He advised God's Sovereign power to bring them down and kill them.

(9) Because of their sins (V 12); "For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter."  David said, "Behold, God! Look their sins with pride, lies... etc."

(10) God rules all the earth and destroys them(V13); "Consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more. Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob." David reminded us that God is in control every situation.

(11) David's enemies would been punished  and they were wondering for food and they were not satisfied for food. (V14-15) David described his enemies like dogs with snarling and prowling about the city in the evening.

(12) David has sang what God has done. (V16-17) He said, "But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love (unfailing and unconditional love); for you (God) are my (David) fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. O my strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress (protection), my loving God."

King David knew the love of God who never abandoned him, so he praised and sang to the Lord who would save or deliver him in times of trouble.

Sometime we can't see God, but we can see his hands moving with our prayer. Hallelujah!

The joy of the Lord is our strength!
