David in his Psalms - Psalm 54 (B)

Read: Psalm 54: 4-7; 1 Samuel 23: 19

For he (God) has delivered me (David) from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes. Psalm 54: 7

       Yesterday, I went to Nane Nane area and I visited my Christian friend. I was so disappointed that she was cold in her spirit. I encouraged her and prayed for her. Then I went home that my laptop was broken, it could not have any sound out and the machine was a loud voice out. I laid my hand and prayed to God. I believe that God is bigger than anything in my life. Then I turned my laptop up this morning. God has healed it completely. Praise the Lord!

        Today, I will open the Disciple Gospel Center for the Forest children Sunday Service. God will do something wonderful today in His time with His hands to hug us and kiss us with His unfailing love.

        There are principles today in Psalm 54 and there are below:

(3) God is my help; he also destroy evil ones.

       (V 4-5)

       "Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. Let Evil recoil on those who slander me in your faithfulness destroy them." David knew that God is only help for him and only one who sustains him from time to time. He trust in God who is faithful to destroy evil ones who have slandered David. How about we? Do we trust in Jesus enough and hope in Him who will save us in time or on time. Praise the Lord!

(4) free will offering and Praise God's Name for

       the good God. (V 6)

       "I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, O Lord, for it is good." David gave God with a freewill offering and he praised his name and the reason for it, God is good and faithful every morning.

(5) God's triumph over his enemies. (V 7)

       "for he (God) has delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes." David knew god who would lead him to victory among his foes. He trusted God who had delivered him from all his troubles which were big or small ones. 

You just need to trust in Jesus 100%, God will be done for you 120% for unknown things, He just wants to bless you and love you for unconditional and love you as who you are and forever more. Praise the Lord today with your grateful heart. God is ready standing with you now. So you just trust Him.

David in his Psalms - Psalm 54 (A)

Read: Psalm 54: 1-4; 1 Samuel 23: 19; Galatians 5: 22-23; John 15: 1-17

Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life - men without regard for God.

Psalm 54: 3

       Yesterday, it was very peaceful Friday, I went to change money and ate my lunch. And I was waiting my parking spot and my table too. I finally sat down, the waiter came and asked me to change another table for three white man and women. In firstly, I did not want, after I changed to another table. I could see these three people who had triumph on me. I was so angry at God, why the white people were top priority everywhere? I told this waiter, "You leave me alone, let them to wait it!" 

     The trouble was in my life, I love the white people, but I can't stand their pride and self-righteous over others. I don't care who you are? I thank to the Lord who does not have favoritism. 

       Firstly, we look into 1 Samuel 23:19 said, "The Ziphites went up to Saul at Gibeah and said, "Is not David hiding among us in strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hakilah, south of Jeshimon?" Then David wrote that event, when the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, "Is not David hiding among us?" He gave the director of music with stringed instruments. They sang it and remembered God who is good and faithful one. Hallelujah!

       There are five principles; but I choose two days to finish it. That way, we can cut short the context. those principles in blow:

(1) Save me, David. (V 1-2)

      "Save me; O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might." David heard Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, "Is not David hiding among us?" He knew that God could save him by his name, He will vindicate David by his mighty deed. Because David was understanding God who was able to save him in time. We need to learn David that God will save us when we call out his Name almighty. 

       Verse 2 said; "Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth." God did hear David's player and listen his words. We have not yet opened our mouth to say the prayer, God has already known it, but He like to listen our voice to ask Him for help or save us in trouble. He does All!

(2) Look those wicked people. (V 3)

       "Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life - men without regard for God." David knew the Ziphites had gone to Saul and reported where is David? So that Saul would attack David. Even strangers and ruthless men were attacking me, David and sought my life without regard for God. They were no God in their lives. David told God, his bad situations, but he put his trust in God alone!

         Tomorrow, we will continue those principle from 3 to 5. There are many way to be intimate relationship with God (John 15: 1-17). We are the Jesus' friends, in John 15: 15-16 said, "I (Jesus) no longer call (treat) you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have mad known to you. You did not choose me; but I chose you and appointed you to go and fear fruit - fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name." Wow! God has chosen us and appointed us to bear fruit (fruit of Spirit, Galatians 5: 22-23) that will last. Hallelujah to the Lord, Jesus!

Bear fruit of Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such thing there is no law.

David in his Psalms - Psalm 52 (B)

Read: Psalm 52: 5-9; Psalm 1: 3; Jeremiah 29: 11

But I am like an olive tree, flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever.

Psalm 52: 8

       We have been raining for three days, the air is flesh and clean, no dusts are like before. My green peppers' garden enjoys the raining. Yesterday I started to give the green peppers aways for harvest. I also eat them every day. Then I don't need to go to local market to buy other vegetables again. I enjoy God's season for me! Praise His Name!

       Today, we continue to look into Psalm 52: 5-9. I believe that we will get more lesson for our lives than another day. The principles are blow:

(3) The judgement of God. (V 5)

       "Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin; He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living." David trusted God who will bring the judgement on them. They will not be longer living, because of ruin and destruction. So I believe that the Christian treat one badly, God will go to judge this life, then we don't need to wait the judgement Day. Praise the Lord for this verse!

(4) see them destruction and fear God. ( V 6-7)

      "The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying. Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!"  We are Christians, by God's grace and mercy, we are righteous by our faith, we will see God's doing for the wicked people, we will grow our fear in Him, not men. If a man does trust his great wealth and grew Strong by destroying others, God will destroy him suddenly.

(5) Trust God's unfailing love. (V 8)

      "But I am like an olive tree, flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever." It is like Psalm 1: 3 said, "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. whatever he does prospers." We trust God's unfailing love, believe his purpose which is best for us. We will grow in God and yield the fruit in season, leaf does green and we will prospers. Then we see Jeremiah 29:11 said, "For I know the plans I have for you, delclares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future." We have hope and future, because the plans of God make to prosper us. Praise the Lord!

(6) Praise the Lord. (V9)

      "I (David) will praise you (God) forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints." I love David's Psalms, he always turn into praise the Lord, not his problems, but God. He raised his faith up and toward God's help alone.

        Tomorrow, we will see Psalm 54 about another David's history event.

Praising God who will make a way for you, where seem no way.

David in his Psalms - Psalm 52 (A)

Read: Psalm 52: 1-4; 1 Samuel 22: 9; James 3: 1-6;

Proverbs 18: 4, 8

Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?

Psalm 52: 1

       Yesterday, two African men cut my trees as fence, they were working very hard, but my trees were like the bared and ugly. But God said to me, "You feed them with the good lunch." I reheat beef and vegetables dish, I served them with one dish with rice and beef & vegetables and Passion fruits' juices. They were happy to eat them. I could see their faces with my respecting and awe of the Lord.

       I've learnt that God have seen our hearts for our working. No result, we want to show him off, but our hearts are matter for all, no job down well or bad? I thank to the Lord for them!

       When you read 1 Samuel 22: 9-10 said, But Doeg the Edomite, who was standing with Saul's officials, said, "I saw the son of Jesse come to Ahimelech son of Ahitub at Nob. Ahimelech inquired of the Lord for him (David); he also gave him provisions and the sword of Goliath the Philistine."  When Doeg the Edomite had gone to Saul and told him; "David has gone to the house of Ahimelech." Then David wrote Psalm 52 for teaching others and he exphasized Saul's wickendnesss.

       There are six principles in Psalm 52 on my own, as blow:

(1) Boast of evil. (V 1)

      "Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?" People have self-righteous and boast of them, but they have done evil things, They are the disgrace in the eyes of God. God has seen all, and then He judge at all in all.

(2) Your tongue destroy all like a sharpened razor (V 2-4)

      "You tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor, you who practice deceit. You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. You love every harmful word, O you deceitful tongue!" There are seven points in evil tongue: 1. plotting destruction, 2.like a sharpened razor, 3. deceit practice, 4.love evil, 5. falsehood, 6. harmful word, and 7. deceitful tongue.

       The tongue also appeared in James 3: 1-6. Then verse 5-6  said, ".... the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts, Consider what a great forest is on fir by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell." Wow, I need to tame my tongue for God.

       Proverbs 18: 4 and 8 said, "The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man's inmost parts." Wow again!  I need to speak true in the positive attitude and motivation.

David in his Psalms - Psalm 142 (B)

When God closes one door,

and  then he will open

a window of HOPE

Read: Psalm 142: 5-7; 1 Samuel 22: 1

Then the righteous will gather about me, because of your goodness to me.

Psalm 142: 7

        Yesterday I washed my clothes by hands, it was hard first for me, but now I was doing quickly and better. I was born with servant mother, I did not do the house work so much and then we had washing machine, not by hands. I can do all things, God who strengthens me. Praise the Lord!

       Today, we are going to look into Psalm 142: 5-7 for those principles:

(3) David cried to God for solution. (5-6)

      "I cry to you, O Lord; I say, 'You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.' Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me." David felt desperate need for rescuing and God listened his cry and complainting. David had lost his dwelling place, but he found God who is his refuge, his portion in the land of the living, because he is alive, not dead now. Even his enemies were too strong for him who knew God for Restoration in time. It is God to whom we trust him as David did.

(4) Praise (V 7a).

       "Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name." David was the cave dweller, the cave made uncomfortable as prison, it was self-pity of David, now he knew that god will set him free in this cave indeed and then he may praise God's Name. In the beginning, David said, "Cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy." There are those Lamentations of Jeremiah. Finally, David turned to his prayer to praise for victory, not victim.

(5) Righteous men came to David. (V 7b)

      "Then the righteous will gather about me, because of your goodness to me." If you read 1 Samuel 22: 1 again, you will discover those words; "When his brothers and his father's household heard about it, they went down to him there (the cave of Adullam). God had already granted David's prayer. the verse showed God who was mercy, David was not lonely, his brother and his father's household heard about David in the cave, they went down to him there. I love my family, because my father, mommy and my younger brother will be there for me, if I am in trouble.

       I have learnt from those Psalms of David a lot. We have his 11 Psalms to go. Wait and you will get more surprised in those Scripture Verses which have been inspired our lives.

God is living among us who can get the help from Him alone!

David in his Psalms - Psalm 142 (A)

Read: Psalm 142: 1-4; 1 Samuel 22: 1

Listen to my (David's) cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me; for they are too strong for me.

Psalm 142: 6

       Yesterday, the servant lady who would come for work, but she did not even show up. Then I asked God for help, God told me that I don't need servant lady, I need to do all by myself for my weight. I was laughed at myself  what God has spoken to me. It is our God, the joy will come in bad situation, God's word can make me to be joyful for Him who has made me beautiful inside out.

       Brother Steve, his older sister Maria who had car accident, she had been broken two legs. Now the doctors joined her two legs together, but her back was ruining and no stop pain. So that Steve wanted me to pray for him and Maria, and giving Maria some pain-killers. Then he told me that he don't have money to visit his older sister by bus. I gave him money for bus fees and buy something for Maria too. God is genius God who told me to give much better than receive. I also gave him some advice. He took joyful spirit to leave. It was so beautiful photo for me!

       Psalm 142 is David's prayer. In 1 Samuel 22: 1 said, "David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and his father's household heard about it, they went down to him there. " David had been persecuted by king Saul and his fellows. He went to the cave of Adullam with hopeless, he became the cave dweller, he did not have any home to go, he was full of fear, but he was praying and writing Psalm 142.

       I want to look into Psalm 142 and find some principles that we can learn from David:

(1) David cried aloud to the Lord for prayer and sought God's mercy. (V 1-2)

       "I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him (God) I tell my trouble." David was being caught by king Saul armies, no way to go and hid himself in the cave of  Adullam. He knew that God is only hope and delivered for him. He poured out his complaint in the presence of God and told him (God) all his trouble and cried loudly for prayer and his voice has not stopped to ask for God's mercy. It is a good example for us, when we meet trouble, we need to cry out to God alone.

(2) David described his spirit which is growing faint and no one cares for him (David).

       "When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me. Look to my right and see; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one care for my life." David was the cave dweller, he was hopeless, because the king Saul armies was looking for David, and they had hidden a snare for him and no one was concerned him, even cared for his life, then he lived in the cave where was not refuge. David was going to danger with sleepless. What kind of David's life? It was trouble after trouble! There were nobody who could help him, but he found God who could help him in God's time. Hallelujah!

       Tomorrow we will continue Psalm 142: 5-7, there are more good principles for our lives. Praise the Lord!

Cry out to God for help, there are hope there!

David in his Psalms - Psalm 34 (C)

Read: Psalm 34: 18-22

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and save those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34: 18

       Yesterday, the six Forest Hill children and I went to Mikese Masai village. I asked a local Pastor, the children want to sing English and Swahili gospel songs and danced, then I wanted to preach. He told me; "OK." The reality he had forgotten my preaching, he and one evangelist took the turn to preach. They talked the subject about successful life. I knew Africans who need to repent from their wrong doing, then God brings them to be successful life. I just wanted to say a few words and took my children to leave there. I stood out to say something, I preached so well, Mikese Pastor wanted me to continue finishing it. I did as God told me that morning and he said, "Rebecca, you are going to glorify my Name in Mikese." O Lord, He is wonderful and amazed grace for me.

       Today, we will finish Psalm 34, I am blessed by God. There are more principles in blow:

(10) God is close broken one and delivering from many troubles. (V 18-19)

        "God is close the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but he Lord delivers him from them all..." I have heard many testimonies, how's God deliver them from brokenhearted, drugs, alcohol, poor, crushed spirit and abuses. God knew how to do it, He will do again, again, then again.

(11) Full protection (Fulfilment of Jesus). (V 20; Exodus 12:46)

        "He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken." Jesus died on the cross, all his bones would not be broken. (John 19: 31-36) We also get 110% protection, God will not allow bird to fall down on the ground, it can not be fallen on. It is our God who is strong, power and mighty.

(12) God is just and right, always fair. (V 21-22)

         "Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him." Only God bring judgement among nations and people, if God do not condemn us, who can judge us. Because we take refuge in Him alone.

       God is Good, God is Good all the time! Thank you our Lord, Jesus who is alive today, tomorrow and forever.

Give thanks to God who will deliver you in His time!
